Puppets at the Park - Coming July 1st

Kids Discovery Factory and the Batesville Area Arts council partnered to create a series of classes and mini camps that introduced children to the science, technology, art, engineering, and math that goes into a theater production. These classes have connected children with local experts, as they collaborate, create, and have the opportunity to share their new skills with the community.

In our newest camp 'Puppets at the park' Children will get a literal backstage look into what makes the theater so magical, learn new skills, and gain an appreciation for the unsung heroes of the theater!   This camp will be held from 1pm-3pm at the Batesville Liberty Park Pavillion, on July 1st! Registration is open from campers who will be entering K-4th grade in the upcoming school year.

At' Puppets at the Park' we will:

  • Design and Make our own hand puppets

  • Write a mini-play

  • Use the puppets we created to perform our mini-plays

  • Parents are invited to join us the last 15 minutes of Camp to enjoy the performances

This camp will be led by the talented Katie Kersey, and dedicated KDF staff member Dawn Koch.

This camp has a registration cost of $10 and you can register now!
